Raymond J. Santarelli, a Firm shareholder, has substantial experience representing and counseling clients in complex commercial litigations in state and federal court and representing employees and employers in employment disputes and litigation relating to wrongful discharge, wage and hour, employment discrimination under Title VII, Age Discrimination in Employment Act, Americans With Disabilities Act, and the Pennsylvania Human Relations Act. Mr. Santarelli represents and counsels healthcare clients, including relating to compliance issues, provider disputes and medical malpractice. Mr. Santarelli has extensive experience representing clients' interests in insurance disputes, including bad faith, regulation, coverage, rehabilitation, and liquidation. Mr. Santarelli also has focused experience in election and campaign finance law, workers' compensation, municipal law, eminent domain, and zoning and land use.

Mr. Santarelli is the Solicitor for the Borough of Darby, Delaware County, Pennsylvania, and is responsible for prosecuting and defending all actions involving the Borough and advising the Borough on all legal matters. Mr. Santarelli also serves as the Solicitor for the Property Maintenance Code Appeal Board in Marple Township, Delaware County, and is responsible for advising the Board members on issues concerning appeals from Township Building Code Officials and matters related thereto.

Mr. Santarelli presently serves the Disciplinary Board of the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania as a Hearing Committee Member. His term is three (3) years, running from July 1, 2010 through June 30, 2013. As a Hearing Committee member, Mr. Santarelli is involved in hearing cases and reviewing files concerning attorneys accused of misconduct. Hearing Committee Members serve on a voluntary, unpaid basis.

For twelve (12) years, Mr. Santarelli served as legal counsel to the Democratic Party of Delaware County, Pennsylvania, serving on the Party’s Leaders’ Council Committee, and providing legal advices and representation to Party officers and members on matters relating to election and campaign finance laws. Mr. Santarelli currently serves as Chairman of the Springfield Township (Delaware County) Democratic Committee.

Before joining the firm, Mr. Santarelli served as a law clerk to the President Judge of the Commonwealth Court of Pennsylvania. The Commonwealth Court resolves diverse issues relating to Commonwealth and municipal administrative agency law, municipal government, governmental liability, insurance, environmental, election, and land use and zoning, as well as original jurisdiction matters involving the Commonwealth and Commonwealth Officers.

Mr. Santarelli is admitted to practice law before the state courts of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and New Jersey, the United States District Courts for the Eastern and Middle Districts of Pennsylvania and the Western District of Tennessee, the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit, and the Supreme Court of the United States, and is a member of the Philadelphia, Delaware County and Pennsylvania Bar Associations, and also the Pennsylvania State Association of Borough Solicitors.

A graduate of Saint Joseph's Preparatory School, Mr. Santarelli received his undergraduate degree in Finance from Villanova University, and his Juris Doctor from Widener University School of Law.

Mr. Santarelli resides in Springfield Township (Delaware County) with his wife, Loretta, and four sons.
