AMERICAN BAR ASSOCIATION SELECTS RAFAEL ZAHRALDDIN AS ONE OF SIX BUSINESS LAW AMBASSADORS FOR 2008-2010

Elliott Greenleaf's Rafael X. Zahralddin has been selected by the American Bar Association's Business Law Section as one of the six Business Law Ambassadors for 2008-2010. Rafael was selected as a Business Law Ambassador as he is an active member of a national bar organization for lawyers of color who has demonstrated a significant interest in an area of business law that coincides with the work of a substantive committee of the Section. Selection as a Business Law Ambassador is intended to be an honor which carries a prestige and distinction reflecting the substantive contributions of a business lawyer who has been active in a national bar organization for lawyers of color. Rafael will continue his work as a mentor and bar leader by being involved in the activities of his respective national bar organization for lawyers of color and identifying substantive areas of common interest in which members and committees of his respective national bar organizations for lawyers of color can coordinate with, and participate in, the work of the Section. He will also coordinate with the Section's Liaison to the ABA Commission on Racial and Ethnic Diversity in the Profession efforts to provide broader exposure of the benefits of Section membership to the members of the various national bar organizations for lawyers of color. He will mentor new Business Law Ambassadors and other lawyers of color in the American Bar Association.

Mr. Zahralddin is the Managing Shareholder of the Firm's Delaware office and is the current Chair of the Delaware State Bar's Multi-Cultural Section of Judges and Lawyers, Founding President of the Delaware Hispanic Bar Association and Regional President for the Hispanic National Bar Association for 2008-2009 for Pennsylvania and Delaware. He has been selected as the Business Law Ambassador to the Committee on Business Bankruptcy, in addition to being assigned to the Committee on Business Law Fellows, Ambassadors and Diplomats and the Young Lawyer Forum. .
