ROBERT C. DANIELS APPOINTED AS CHAIR OF THE SUPREME COURT OF PENNSYLVANIA CIVIL PROCEDURAL RULES COMMITTEE

The Honorable Robert C. Daniels, retired Judge of the Superior Court of Pennsylvania and presently Counsel to the Firm, has been appointed by the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania as Chair of the Court’s Civil Procedural Rules Committee.

Judge Daniels has served as a Member of the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania’s Civil Procedural Rules Committee for the past five years, and has previously served as Chairman of the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania’s Disciplinary Board. Prior to his service on the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania’s Disciplinary Board, Judge Daniels served as both Chancellor and Chairman of the Board of Governors of the Philadelphia Bar Association, as President of the Philadelphia Trial Lawyers Association and as a Delegate to both the American Bar Association’s and the Pennsylvania Bar Association’s House of Delegates.

Judge Daniels presently serves as a Member of the Board of Visitors of the Temple University School of Law and as a Member of the Board of the Abramson Cancer Center of the University of Pennsylvania, and formerly served as a Trustee of both the Pennsylvania State University and the Terry Sanford School of Public Policy at Duke University.

Judge Daniels’ national practice includes extensive trial and appellate advocacy before the courts of Pennsylvania and the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit.
